To equip and encourage existing and future leaders to reach their full potential in Christ and ultimately advance the kingdom of God, impact the local church and influence their society (Eph 4:11-12; 2 Tim 2:2).

God uses His church to see His kingdom expanded. Within these churches God has raised up leaders to shepherd His church. We believe this, and so we partner with local congregations and pastors.


What are we doing to see this happen?

SMI is currently partnering with local churches in Moldova and Pridnestrovie to help strengthen and equip them. Some of these churches are in Chisinau, Comrat, and Tiraspol.

SMI has been involved in children’s ministry since 1994. This ministry started small but has grown through the years. With great joy we have passed the work off to national leadership. The program currently has 1300 kids that attend Bible Clubs, and there are 27 churches that participate. Our desire is to raise the visibility of the church in local communities. Because local churches are limited in resources, SMI sponsors the Bible Clubs so that the children can attend free of charge.

SMI partners with Open Heaven Church in Tiraspol. It is an active church with a big heart to reach its community. SMI has assisted their development, sponsored evangelistic programs, partnered in neighborhood and city outreaches and, provided leadership development and English classes.

SMI has also partnered with Agape Church in Chisinau since 2009. Agape has influenced area churches to catch the vision of becoming healthy and reproducing. One of the ways that we are partnering is by including members of their church with our outreach teams.
